Kruger Solutions was engaged to complete vegetation clearing and stump removal for a new gated residential community. Working alongside ecological partner Wildlife CSI, the team managed protected vegetation, native fauna and material recovery while preparing the site for construction. The project required precise clearing within designated Tree Protection Zones, rapid mobilisation once approvals were received and close coordination between vegetation, ecology and development teams.

The site contained retained vegetation protected by designated Tree Protection Zones, along with a significant population of native wildlife. Every tree scheduled for removal required inspection, and any fauna encountered needed to be safely captured and relocated. Environmental approvals also caused several changes to the commencement date, creating uncertainty around mobilisation while the developer’s broader construction programme continued to move forward.

Kruger Solutions maintained close communication with the client and project stakeholders throughout the approval period, keeping personnel, plant and ecological support ready to mobilise. During clearing, specialised equipment was used to support and gently lower habitat timber so Wildlife CSI could inspect it and safely relocate fauna. Operators worked precisely around Tree Protection Zones, while suitable trunks and vegetation were separated for reuse elsewhere on the development.

Once approvals were secured, Kruger Solutions mobilised without delay and completed the vegetation clearing and stump removal one week ahead of the contractual schedule. All fauna encountered was relocated safely, with zero wildlife fatalities and no damage to retained trees or protected vegetation. Habitat logs were reused within environmental restoration areas, while harvesting residue was processed into landscaping mulch, leaving a clean, compliant and construction-ready site.
