The works were critical to maintaining waste storage capacity and supporting continued mine operations. Victory Minerals needed vegetation clearing completed urgently so tailings dam construction could proceed before existing waste storage capacity became constrained. The site presented demanding mining conditions, including rugged terrain, steep embankments and gullies up to 30 metres deep. Kruger Solutions also needed to ensure all plant and equipment met strict mine site specifications before work began, while maintaining productivity under compressed timeframes and rigorous safety requirements.

Kruger Solutions mobilised quickly and completed the necessary plant and equipment modifications to meet Victory Minerals’ mining specifications. All machinery was upgraded, inspected and approved before commencing works. The team maintained open communication with the client, providing regular progress updates and responding quickly to changing site requirements. Specialist forestry equipment and experienced operators were used to safely clear vegetation across steep and difficult terrain.

Kruger Solutions completed the vegetation clearing safely, efficiently and in full compliance with the mine’s health, safety and environmental standards. The cleared areas gave Victory Minerals safe access to continue tailings dam construction without delay. The team also identified a sustainable reuse opportunity for approximately 1,500 cubic metres of mulch, arranging repurposing off site when the client lacked storage capacity, reducing disposal pressure and improving the project’s environmental outcome.
